The Texas Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons Political Action Committee (TOMSPAC®) is the political action committee representing oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Texas. TOMSPAC’s purpose is to advocate on behalf of its constituency to state legislators and public officials in support of the specialty and patient safety.

The AAOMS Challenge Coin Award 2026 TSOMS Recipients
Dr. Steve Koo, DDS, and Dr. John V. Shroyer, III, DDS
The AAOMS Challenge Coin is awarded to the elite few who, through their efforts, transcend those of their colleagues to further the specialty through advocacy. Recipients receiving this honor designate significant portions of their time and effort to ensure our specialty thrives by personally advocating at the local, state, and federal levels for our profession and patients. Such tasks include testifying before legislative bodies on our practice model and traveling the country to defend our anesthesia model.
